October 26, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Sept 2022, the average occupancy rate of hotels in Azerbaijan was 16.3% (compared with 11.2% a year earlier).

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that indicators are as follows: Shabran - 89.6%, Naftalan - 37.5%, Guba - 30.4%, Lankaran - 25.9%, Beylagan - 25.7%, Guba - 26.5%, Baku - 23.6%, Gabala - 21.8%, Shusha - 19.1%, Aghjabedi - 19.1%, Sabirabad - 16.9%, Gusar - 16.9%.

According to the State Border Service, 1.16 million foreigners and stateless persons from 176 countries visited Azerbaijan for Jan-Sept 2022, which is 2.2-fold more versus Jan-Sept 2021.

Of the arrivals, 26.6% are citizens of the Russian Federation, 19.6% - Turkey, 11% - Iran, 7.4% - Saudi Arabia, 4.8% - Georgia, 3.2% - Pakistan, 3.1% - India, 2.3% - United Arab Emirates, 1.9% - Kazakhstan, 1.8% - Ukraine, 1.7% - Israel, 1.6% - Kuwait, 1.5% - Uzbekistan, 1.4% - Oman, 1.1% British citizens, 11% citizens of other countries.

Men made up 74.4%, women-25.6%.
