Number of Azerbaijani citizens traveling abroad has increased

October 26, Fineko/abc.az. Compared with Jan-Sept 2021, the number of arrivals from the Persian Gulf countries increased 3.1-fold to 283,600 people, arrivals from the EU member states - 2.4-fold to 55,800 people, arrivals from the CIS countries - 1.9-fold to 395,300 people.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that compared with Jan-Sept 2021 the total number of Azerbaijani citizens traveling abroad grew 1.7-fold up to 1.11 million people.

The number of Azerbaijani citizens traveling to Iran increased 3.1-fold, to Georgia by 1.8-fold, to Turkey 1.7-fold, and to Russia by 21.2%.

47.3% of Azerbaijani citizens visited Turkey, 17.7% - Russia, 11.1% - Iran, 8.5% - Georgia, 15.4% - other countries.

Men made up 64.1% and women - 35.9%.
