November 2, Fineko/abc.az. From June 2020 to 1 October 2022 the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurship Development Fund (SIF) under the Ministry of Economy issued guarantees to entrepreneurs affected by the pandemic in the amount of AZN 291.8 million as part of state support for lending and subsidizing loans.

ABC.AZ reports that Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov wrote about this on Twitter.

"The guarantees in the amount of AZN 291.8 million were given for 2,630 appeals from pandemic-affected entrepreneurs in the amount of AZN 499.8 million,” the minister wrote.

The minister points out that AZN 36.2 million were paid to entrepreneurs in order to subsidize 50% of the annual interest rate on these loans.
