November 3, Fineko/abc.az. The State Tourism Agency reported that the number of foreign tourists who visited Azerbaijan for Jan-Oct 2022 grew by 118% up to 1,323,416 people.

ABC.AZ reports that the largest number of tourists who visited Azerbaijan during this period were citizens of Russia.

Turkey occupies the 2nd place in this ranking (28,300 people) and Iran – 3rd place (15,300 people). They are followed by India (9,400 people), Georgia (8,500), Pakistan (5,600), Saudi Arabia (4,100), Uzbekistan (3,200), Kazakhstan (3,100), Israel (2,500), Belarus (2,400), Ukraine (2,300), UAE (2,200), UK (1,600) and Turkmenistan (1,400).

As for the share of visitors to Azerbaijan by region during this period, Russia leads in this category with 33.7%. It is followed by Turkey (17.6%), Asia (16.4%), Iran (9.5%), Europe (7.8%), the Middle East (7.7%) and other regions (1.9%).
