November 4, Fineko/abc.az. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that ships in the grain corridor will go primarily to African countries that are in dire need of grain.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Turkish press, that Erdogan noted that at the meeting with Putin they agreed to supply food to countries in need on a free basis.

“We agree with Putin that Africa should benefit from the Black Sea grain corridor. We will ensure that bulk carriers with grain reach countries that are currently suffering from a severe food crisis and hunger,” Erdogan stressed.

The Turkish president said that the first batch of grain under the renewed grain deal was sent to Somalia, Sudan and Djibouti.
