Azerbaijan keeps on taking steps to improve the legislative framework with the purpose of joining the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Ramiz Hasanov, chairman of the State Committee on Standardization, Metrology & Patents of Azerbaijan, says that within the framework of the EU twining project a bill on technical regulation has been drafted.

"The bill has been drafted with the purpose of ensruing the conformity to the requirements of organization, removal of technical barriers in trade, increase of the export potential of local producers. The draft law, developed with participation of international experts, has been submitted for consideration to the Cabinet Ministers of the country," Hasanov said.
