November 5, Fineko/abc.az. "This law is based on a conflict of interest," MP Ali Masimli stated at a meeting of the parliamentary committee.

He emphasized that the liberation of territories that have been under occupation for 30 years especially reinforces the importance of adopting such laws: “Once up to 80% of investments in Azerbaijan were foreign investments. But in 2021, this figure is 27%. And in 2026, a decrease in foreign investments is projected to 22%. Therefore, it is necessary to clarify how such laws will stimulate the attraction of foreign investments. I welcome the adoption of the law on small & medium-sized businesses. But for the functioning of such laws, favorable competitive environment must be created. Therefore, we must accelerate the adoption of the Competition Code."
