November 15, Fineko/abc.az. The US Army has concluded several contracts for $520 million with military & industrial corporation Lockheed Martin to replenish multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) in exchange for those transferred to Ukraine, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the American Armed Forces’ statement.

The statement says that the contracts were concluded on October 21 and November 2.

As the US Undersecretary of Defense for Procurement & Supply William Laplante, whose words are quoted in the document, pointed out, the distribution of these contracts shows the "significant influence" that the MLRS has "as an important combat tool for our international partners".

Earlier, Lockheed’s executive director Jim Tyklet said that the company intends to increase production of Javelin man-portable air defense missile systems (MANPADS) and HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) supplied to Ukraine.
