ABC.AZ reports that Mikhail Mishustin, the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, said this during an expanded meeting with President Ilham Aliyev.

Mishustin stressed that a series of solemn events dedicated to this important event was organized: "Next year we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Soviet and Azerbaijani statesman, your father Heydar Alirza oglu Aliyev. We also noted yesterday that our institutes - branches of Moscow State University and I.M.Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University - are successfully functioning in Baku. More than 11,000 students from Azerbaijan are studying in Russia. Such development of direct ties between people, familiarization with the rich history, culture and traditions will strengthen our relationship."
