Israeli PM: I welcome Azerbaijan's decision

ABC.AZ reports that Israeli PM Yair Lapid announced this on his Twitter account.

"Azerbaijan is an important partner of Israel and the birthplace of one of the largest Jewish communities in the Muslim world. The decision to open an embassy reflects the depth of relations between the countries. This step is the result of the efforts of the Israeli government to establish strong political bridges with the Muslim world," he emphasized.

Lapid thanked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and congratulated the Azerbaijani people.
