Putin released Soltanovsky from post of permanent representative to Council of Europe

November 22, Fineko/abc.az. Russian President Vladimir Putin has relieved Ivan Saltanovsky of his duties as permanent representative to the Council of Europe, from which Russia withdrew in March 2022.

ABC.AZ reports that the relevant decree was published today.

"To release Soltanovsky Ivan Dmitrievich from the duties of the permanent representative of the Russian Federation to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, French Republic," the document says.

In March, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Maria Pejcinovic-Buric, was handed a notification of Russia's withdrawal from this organization.
