November 24, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan Banks Association’s president Zakir Nuriyev made statements regarding the banking sector.

ABC.AZ reports that the ABA chairman noted that digitalization is one of the most important areas of improvement in the banking sector.

He added that one of the priority goals in the direction of building sustainable and competitive banking sector in the modern era of digital transformation could be the creation of digital banks.

"We believe the introduction of digital transformation in the financial and banking sector in our country in a more effective form can lead to further improvement of the competitiveness of the banking system, expansion of financial privileges, elimination of dependence on physical space in banking services, in particular, in order to save costs, the process of forming the legislative framework in the field of digital banking can be accelerated and moved to more dynamic framework that can adapt to the demands of the time," Nuriyev emphasized.
