November 24, Fineko/abc.az. The financial sector in Azerbaijan cannot develop without information technologies.

ABC.AZ reports that Central Bank’s chairman Taleh Kazimov stated about this at the VI International Banking Forum in Baku, organized with the support of the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan (ABA) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan within the framework of cooperation with international payment system Mastercard.

"In 2020, we were all concerned about how our economy would recover after the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). Geopolitical and geo-economic challenges in 2022, the problem of inflation also increase the risks of weakening the global economy in 2023. The sphere that will be constantly developing under the current uncertain conditions is IT, and the financial sector cannot develop without it. We cannot implement our policy without IT,” Kazimov said.
