Subsidies allocated to Nakhchivan from State Budget of Azerbaijan to be reduced

November 25, Fineko/abc.az. The subsidy allocated for Nakhchivan from State Budget 2023 will be reduced by AZN 31.3 million.

ABC.AZ reports that Finance Minister Samir Sharifov said this at today's meeting of Milli Majlis.

Sharifov noted that the Main Department of the State Security Service in Nakhchivan will be financed from the central expenditures of the State Budget:

“AZN 31.1 million, which have been reduced in subsidies for Nakhchivan, will be used to open and ensure the operation of new embassies, attract legal consultants to protect Azerbaijan's interests in international activities, protect the security of embassies. AZN 4.1 million of the remaining funds will be allocated to the expenses of Milli Majlis, and AZN 11.1 million for the auxiliary part of the expenses for defense and national security".
