CBA held 42 auctions for note sale for Jan-Sept

November 28, Fineko/abc.az. Over the first 9 months the Central Bank of Azerbaijan held 42 auctions for the sale of notes, ABC.AZ reports with reference to CBA’s monetary policy review for Jan-Sept 2022.

The review says that the balance of funds sterilized by issuing notes at the end of September is estimated at AZN 510 million.

"The yield at the last auction was 2.92% on the notes issued for 84 days, 3.5% on the 168-day notes, and 3.78% on 252-day notes,” the bank said in a statement.

And for 28-day notes, the yield was formed at a level close to the lower limit of the interest rate corridor.

The yield on Central Bank’s notes plays an important role from angle of formation of the yield curve, affecting interest rates on other financial instruments.
