Over Jan-Sept cost of Azerbaijan’s tomato export to Russia reached $130 million

November 28, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan exported 112,354 tons of tomatoes for $134.279 million (a rise of 4.7%) for Jan-Sept 2022 (5.7% less versus Jan-Sept 2021), ABC.AZ reports with reference to a government source.

The main importer of Azerbaijani tomatoes for the reported tern was Russia.

"Over Jan-Sept, Azerbaijan exported 109,573 tons (97.5% of total exports) for $129.99 million to Russia. Compared with Jan-Sept 2021, tomato export to Russia in quantitative terms decreased by 4.3% and in value terms grew by 3%," the source emphasized.

In 2021, Azerbaijan exported 145,216 tons of tomatoes for $160.228 million. Russia was also the main importer of Azerbaijani tomatoes in 2021. In particular, 140,110 tons for $157.558 million were exported to Russia.
