November 30, Fineko/abc.az. Transport expert, lawyer Arshad Huseynov noted that the latest amendment to the Law on Road Traffic concerns motorcycles, not mopeds.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the expert, the draft, discussed at Milli Majlis on 29 November and adopted in the 1st reading, clarifies one of the criteria concerning motorcycles:

"Those are aware of this law know that the concept of moped was given in Paragraph 1 of Article 27. According to this normative concept, a moped is a two– or three-wheeled vehicle driven by an engine with working volume of no more than 50 cm3 and with maximum design speed of no more than 50 km/h. That is, the working volume of the internal combustion engine of a moped in no case can exceed 50 cm3, and the maximum design speed is 50 km/h. If any of these values is exceeded, such equipment is no longer a moped, but a motorcycle."
