Azerbaijani monitoring group to hold talks with peacekeepers in Khojali

December 07, Fineko/abc.az. The monitoring group, designed to investigate illegal exploitation of natural resources, will continue negotiations with the command of the Russian peacekeeping forces today. The group consists of employees of the Ministry of Ecology & Natural Resources, the State Service for Property Issues under the Ministry of Economy and AzerGold CJSC.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the monitoring group, negotiations with the commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, Major General Andrei Volkov, will take place at the headquarters of peacekeepers in Khojali.

The importance of monitoring, inventory of property and environmental studies at deposits and other sites related to the illegal exploitation of minerals within the illegal economic activity in the territories of Azerbaijan, temporarily deployed by the Russian peacekeeping forces, as well as related environmental and other complications will be brought to attention of negotiations.
