December 8, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijan Tourism Summit has been held in Baku.
ABC.AZ reports that a number of issues were discussed at the summit, interesting statements were made. Heydeniz Gahramanov, the chairman of board of the Association of Travel Agencies of Azerbaijan, said that the construction of a metro line to the Heydar Aliyev International Airport can lead to the development of tourism.
"We are seeing this in many countries, and we would like to see the same thing here," he said.
Gakhramanov stressed that it is also very important to have high-speed trains to the regions: "Tourists do not want to go to distant areas. But the nature and hospitality of these areas are no worse than the rest. I would really like to see activity in logistics issues."
