January 6, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijani army is the strongest in the South Caucasus.

ABC.AZ reports that according to Global Firepower portal, Azerbaijan ranks 57th in the world on military power.

The international rating shows that Azerbaijan ranked 57th among 145 countries in 2023. Other countries of the South Caucasus - Georgia is in 85th place and Armenia is in 94th place.

The first 3 places in the list are occupied by the armed forces of the U.S., Russia and China. Turkey ranks 11th, Iran - 17th.

When compiling the rating, such aspects as technological development in the arms industry, financial situation, logistical capabilities and flexibility of armies are evaluated.

Ukraine holds 15th place, Belarus – 60th, Uzbekistan – 62nd, Kazakhstan – 63rd, Turkmenistan – 82nd, Lithuania – 93rd, Latvia – 95th, Estonia – 104th, Kyrgyzstan – 107th, Tajikistan – 120th, Moldova – 143rd.
