Putin sounds amount of Russia’s budget deficit for 2022

January 18, Fineko/abc.az. The level of the Russian federal budget deficit following the results of 2022 is one of the best indicators among the G20 countries.

ABC.AZ reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin stated about this at Tuesday’s meeting on economic issues.

He added that Russia’s budget revenues for 2022 grew by 10% up to 27.8 trillion rubles.

"Our expenses increased at a faster pace, more noticeably, and by a quarter, and exceeded 31 trillion rubles. As a result, the deficit of the federal budget of the Russian Federation amounted to 3.3 trillion rubles, or 2.3% of GDP," Putin said.

The Russian leader underlined that this level of deficit is one of the best indicators among the G20 countries.
