Shah Deniz production in 2022 exceeded the target

January 26, Fineko/abc.az. The peak of production on Phase 2 of Shah Deniz gas condensate field, located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, may be reached in 2023.

ABC.AZ reports that BP vice president for communications & external relations in the Caspian region Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli told journalists.

He added that in 2022, production at Shah Deniz was at a higher level than planned, and this growth continues. Currently, the efficiency of field operations is 99%. Due to the forecast of high prices last year, additional production in excess of the annual plan means additional profit for both the country and investors.
