January 27, Fineko/abc.az. The Lagodekhi customs checkpoint between Georgia and Azerbaijan will open this year, ABC.AZ reports, citing Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili.

He noted that currently there are 6 customs checkpoints on the Georgian-Azerbaijani border, one of which belongs to the railway.

The minister added that at other customs checkpoints located on the borders of the country, work will also be carried out on the repair and restoration of infrastructure.

The Lagodekhi customs checkpoint was closed because of repairs. Since the land borders have been closed in Azerbaijan since March 2020, the opening of this point does not mean that it will be put into operation.
