Aid for quake victims in Turkiye is collected in Nakhchivan

February 7, Fineko/ The Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is collecting aid for victims of a strong earthquake in Turkiye.

ABC.AZ reports that citizens are sending warm clothes, tents, bedding, heating equipment and everything necessary for young children to the earthquake area.

The Consulate General of Turkiye in Nakhchivan appealed to the NAR residents to help people affected by the quake.

On 6 February, a quake of magnitude 7.7 occurred in Turkiye. As a result, 3,432 people were killed and 21,103 were injured. 5,775 buildings were destroyed.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has declared a 7-day mourning period in the country in memory of the victims.
