Cost of foodstuffs has increased

February 8, Fineko/abc.az. The volume of trade turnover increased up to AZN 30.819 bn in 2022 (a rise of 5% against 2021), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Baku City Statistics Department.

The value of food, beverages and tobacco products sold in the retail chain grew by 16.9% (versus the previous year) up to AZN 18.698 bn, while the volume of non-food products decreased by 9% to AZN 12.1 bn.

32.5% of consumer goods are sold at enterprises with the status of a legal entity, 52.3% in retail facilities owned by individual entrepreneurs, and 15.2% at markets and fairs of the capital.
