March 29, Fineko/abc.az. Up to 140 Israeli companies are operating in Azerbaijan today.

ABC.AZ reports that Azerbaijani FM Jeyhun Bayramov stated about this during a joint press statement after a meeting with his Israeli counterpart Eli Cohen.

"The opening of direct flights between the two countries has further contributed to our ties. A meeting of the Israeli-Azerbaijani Commission on Economic Relations will be held in Baku on 19 April. I’m sure this meeting will contribute to our fruitful cooperation. There is cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel in the field of agriculture and water resources management. Our cooperation in the field of science, education, culture, tourism is deepening," Bayramov said.

The minister stressed that Israel imports crude oil from Azerbaijan, and this accounts for 30% of the country's imports: "Azerbaijan has rich green energy resources, the possibilities of working of advanced Israeli technologies over this potential are great."
