March 29, Fineko/abc.az. We are significantly behind in the production of medicines. Negotiations were held with the health minister, several pharmaceutical plants are planned to be built on the territory of the Alat Free Economic Zone (FEZ), ABC.AZ reports, citing Ahliman Amiraslanov, the chairman of the Milli Majlis Healthcare Committee.

"I have information that specialists from Israel, fraternal Turkiye and other countries have already arrived in Azerbaijan. That is, the work has begun," he said.

Amiraslanov stressed that Azerbaijan has medicinal plant raw materials: "Thanks to this, we can also produce many medicines on our own. Thus, we will be able to control both the quality of medicines and their prices."
