March 29, Fineko/abc.az. MTS-bank has suspended transfers in Azerbaijani manats via SWIFT system since 29 March amid the lack of demand for this service, ABC.AZ reports, referring to credit institution’s press service.

"Transfers in Azerbaijani manats via the SWIFT system have been suspended due to the actual lack of demand for this service. At that, we continue developing cross-border money transfers for individuals to Azerbaijan in rubles with transfers credited to cards in the account currency," the bank said.

In January 2023, MTS-bank expanded the functionality of the service for instant replenishment of bank cards with nominal value in Azerbaijani manats, as well as in dollars and euros (depending on the currency of the account) of any banks in Azerbaijan.
