June 22, Fineko/abc.az. The official visit of the parliamentary delegation led by Milli Mejlis chairman Ogtai Asadov to China continues.

Milli Majlis press service informs that the visit is held at the invitation of Li Zhanshu, the chairman of the National People's Congress.

"The parliamentary delegates visited the Great Wall of China, one of the rare historical, architectural and cultural monuments of the East. The Great Wall of China is a UNESCO world heritage site and is considered the largest art monument in China. It is a source of pride for the Chinese people and a symbol of the country's history," the Milli Majlis statement says.

Construction of the wall began in the 3rd century BC and lasted for several centuries. Millions of tourists from different parts of the world visit the Great Wall of China every year.
