Azerbaijan's balance of payments surplus has grown

June 8, Fineko/abc.az. The total surplus of Azerbaijan's balance of payments in the 1st quarter of this year amounted to $3.45 bn (2.2-fold more against Q1 of 2021), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

The total surplus was formed at the expense of current account surplus of $3.376 bn (decline of 14.6%), capital account surplus of $3.4 million (deficit a year earlier), financial account surplus of $1.3 bn (deficit a year earlier), balancing item deficit of $1.228 bn (growth by 3.7%).
