June 14, Fineko/abc.az. The Council of the European Union and the European Parliament adopted a draft law on Schengen visas.

ABC.AZ reports that the EU Council and the European Parliament have adopted a new bill on the digitization of Schengen visas.

When the new law comes into force, visas attached to passports will be digitized and issued via the Internet in the form of a 2D barcode.

Visas can be downloaded to mobile devices.

Visa applicants will be able to apply for a visa online in several languages.
