DIHK head: Situation in German economy is difficult

July 3, Fineko/abc.az. Peter Adrian, President of the German Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DIHK), believes that the German economy may face prolonged stagnation, and there are no signs of its recovery yet.

ABC.AZ reports that according to Adrian, the situation in the German economy as a whole is difficult, pessimistic sentiments are especially widespread among medium-sized firms.

"Germany is in recession. We are one of the few countries in Europe whose production volume is again lower to the coronavirus level. This is an alarming signal," Adrian stated.

The DIHK head pointed out that in Germany there is a reluctance of businesses to invest.
