Finland to tighten entry rules for Russian businessmen

July 7, Fineko/abc.az. From July 10, Finland is to toughen the entry rules for Russian students, businessmen and property owners, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"Finland will continue imposing restrictions on the entry of citizens of the Russian Federation into Finland. Entry of Russian citizens to Finland and through Finland to the rest of the Schengen area will continue to be restricted. At that, restrictions will be tightened for businessmen, property owners in Finland and students," the Ministry said.

Businessmen will be allowed "to enter only Finland, that is, transit to other countries will be prohibited". Property owners will have to justify the reason for their personal presence, and applicants will be allowed to participate only in a number of certain programs leading to obtaining a degree, which excludes attending courses, the Ministry clarifies.
