July 14, Fineko/abc.az. As of July 1, 2023, the number of the unemployed registered in the local organizations of the State Employment Agency in Azerbaijan amounted to 247,430 people.

ABC.AZ reports that 33.3% of them are women.

The quantity of persons with the status of unemployed has decreased by 2,708 people for the past month.

The average amount of unemployment benefits increased by 4 manats 90 gapiks up to 407.5 manats. The number of recipients of benefits grew by 109 people up to 2,568 people.

It follows from the published data that only 1% of persons registered as unemployed are granted benefits in Azerbaijan.

The city of Baku accounts for 1/5 of those registered as unemployed – 49,800 people. After Baku, the largest number of unemployed is registered in the Aghdam district – 10,749 people.
