July 25, Fineko/abc.az. In terms of working hours (per week) in Europe, Türkiye stands out as the country with the longest working hours - an average of 42.9.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the EU statistical office for 2022, workers in European countries work an average of 36.4 hours a week. Türkiye ranks 1st among 35 countries with 42.9 hours, as the latest data refers to 2020.

28.1% of workers in Türkiye have a long working day. This figure is 7.4% in the EU.

Türkiye is followed by Montenegro (42.8 hours), Serbia (42.3 hours), Greece (39.7 hours) and Romania (39.7 hours).

The lowest weekly working day in the Netherlands is 32.4 hours. The Dutch like to separate their work and personal life. This is usually well protected by labor laws and regulations.

In Spain 36.5, Great Britain 36.4, France 36.2, Germany 34.6 and Norway 34.1 hours.
