July 26, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan registered 39,093 mortgage agreements for the past 6 months (14.6% more against Jan-Jun 2022), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Service for Property Issues (under the Ministry of Economy).

Apartments, land plots and private houses dominated among the mortgaged property in the country. Mortgage agreements were concluded for 21,780 apartments in 6 months. Of the 39,093 objects mortgaged during this period, 8,171 were land plots, 5,623 were private houses.

Over Jan-Jun 2023, 20,093 mortgage agreements were concluded in Baku (51.4% of the total figure around the country).

Most of all loans secured by apartments were given in Baku, Absheron and Sumgait. Baku ranks first in the number of mortgaged private houses.
