Nearly 40,000 jobs created in Azerbaijan

A total of 38,900 new jobs were created in Azerbaijan in the six months of this year, with 93.4% of the jobs in the private sector.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that 81.9% of new jobs were created in Baku, 1% in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 17.1% in other districts, including 3.2% in Absheron-Khizi, 2.6% in in Guba-Khachmaz, 1.9% in Ganja-Dashkasan, 1.5% in Central Aran, 1.5% in Shaki-Zagatala, 1.4% in Gazakh-Tovuz, 1.2% in Garabagh, 1% in East Zangazur, 1% in Shirvan-Salyan, 0.8% in Lankaran-Astara, 0.6% in Mil-Mugan, 0.4% in Upper Shirvan economic districts.

Some 9.1% of new jobs were created at new enterprises and organizations, 90.1% at existing enterprises and organizations, 0.5% at enterprises and organizations that have resumed their activities, and 0.3% at other events.
