September 1, Fineko/abc.az, Work on the construction of an artificial island has begun in the Caspian Sea.

The artificial island is being built in the village of Nardaran, on the territory of the Sea Breeze Resort health complex, ABC.AZ reports.

The ship-shaped Caspian Dream Liner hotel will be built on the island. The project was presented to business circles two or three months ago.

This is the second such statement about the creation of an artificial island in the Caspian Sea. The first proposal in 2011 was made by the Avesta concern, but this project, called "Islands in the Caspian" (an artificial archipelago-city on the territory of the village of Sahil), went bankrupt a few years later.

The Sea Breeze company was founded by Emin Aghalarov in 2006 and initially consisted of a hotel, a restaurant and a small beach.

Today, Sea Breeze covers an area of more than 180 hectares and includes more than 15 completed and ongoing construction projects, includes more than 10 restaurants, cafes and bars, 14 swimming pools, social facilities and 5.5 km of landscaped beaches.
