September 21, Fineko/abc.az. The acceptance of applications for Indian visas in Canada has been suspended since Thursday "for technical reasons". This happened against the background of a crisis in Indian-Canadian relations.

ABC.AZ reports that the suspension of applications was announced by BLS International, which is the operator of Indian visa centers in Canada.

The last time the Indian Embassy suspended visa applications was during the coronavirus pandemic.

"An important message from the Indian diplomatic mission: starting from September 21, 2023 and until further orders, processing of applications for Indian visas will be suspended for technical reasons," the Indian Embassy says.

Acceptance of applications has been halted amid the crisis in relations between Canada and India that broke out this week.
