September 25, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan fully secured its sovereignty five days ago.

ABC.AZ reports that President Ilham Aliyev said this when making a joint press statement with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is on a visit to Nakhchivan.

"If 3 years ago, as a result of the Second Karabakh War, we put an end to the occupation, on April 23 of this year we completely restored our territorial integrity - by establishing a border checkpoint on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border in the direction of Lachin - 5 days ago we fully secured and restored our sovereignty. As a result of the anti-terrorist measures in less than 24 hours, the Armenian army, which was illegally on the territory of Azerbaijan, surrendered, accepted our conditions and, thus, Azerbaijan fully secured its state sovereignty," the head of state said.
