Georgia imposes a ban on export of cars imported from EU to Russia

September 26, Fineko/abc.az. The Georgian authorities have imposed a ban on the export, re-export or transit to Russia of cars imported from the European Union, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the press service of the Revenue Service of the Georgian Finance Ministry.

"As previously stated, a ban on the export, re-export or transit of cars to Russia that were imported from Europe will be imposed from September 26," the press service says.

Speech is about cars whose engine capacity exceeds 1.9 cu m. The ban also applies to hybrid cars and electric vehicles. The restrictions came into force due to the 11th package of sanctions adopted by the EU against Russia, the Ministry added.
