September 28, Fineko/abc.az. The jewelry market in Azerbaijan partially operates illegally.

ABC.AZ reports that Natig Hasanov, first deputy chairman of board of the Agency for the Development of Small & Medium-sized Businesses (under the Ministry of Economy), stated about this at an event in Baku on the topic "The role of Heydar Aliyev in the formation of environment of free competition & ensuring consumer protection".

"We observe sufficient violation of consumer rights in this area. We think the relevant state institution should deal with application and registration of samples for jewelry and other products made of precious metals. We also consider it necessary to conduct work on improvement in connection with incomplete fulfillment of the requirements of certain regulatory instruments on the market," he underlined.
