September 29, Fineko/abc.az. For the past 8 months the banks in Azerbaijan received income from securities portfolio in the amount of AZN 278.3 million.

ABC.AZ reports that compared with Jan-Aug 2022, banks’ interest income increased by AZN 82.1 million, or 42%.

Over Jan-Aug 2023, the banks had securities portfolio for AZN 7.622 billion (23% more than last year).

However, its share in foreign currency declined by 12% versus Jan-Aug 2022 to the equivalent of AZN 2.978 billion.
