October 27, Fineko/abc.az. The Agricultural Insurance Fund, which insures acreage and farms in Azerbaijan, has started paying losses to farmers and farms in connection with events and registered losses during 2023.

ABC.AZ reports that insurance payments will cover damage to acreage as a result of events that occurred during 2023.

This includes all the risks faced by the Agricultural Insurance Fund: hail; fire; earthquake; landslide; hurricane; storm; flood and mudslide; downpour; lightning; frost; snowfall in excess of the norm; actions of third parties.

According to the Fund, SMS-notifications have already been sent to farmers and farms whose documents have already been approved. Persons who have received an SMS-notification are asked to provide their documents for making the payment.

The Agricultural Insurance Fund reports that during 2023, the Fund received about 9,000 appeals in connection with the events. Most of the appeals are related to the events of storms, hurricanes, floods, mudslides, hail, etc.
