November 1, Fineko/abc.az. The Canadian government has taken on Monday a decision to ban the use of Chinese messenger WeChat and the Russian antivirus software from Kaspersky on mobile devices issued by government agencies because of privacy and security risks.

ABC.AZ reports that at the same time, the Canadian authorities clarified that there is no leakage of official information or threat to its protection.

The Canadian chief specialist on government information technology has concluded that Tencent-owned WeChat messenger and applications created by Kaspersky Lab in Moscow pose an unacceptable level of risk to privacy and security, the official statement says.
