November 2, Fineko/abc.az. In connection with the incident that led to the death of two oil workers, an official of Azneft has been brought to justice.

ABC.AZ reports that on August 24, 2023, during scheduled repair work at the site on cleaning of oil residues at the first oil & gas production site of the Nariman Narimanov Oil & Gas Production Department of Azneft Production Association, employees of Neftgaztikinti trust Shirvan Agamammadov (born in 1960), working as an installer and Shamo Narimanov (born in 1984), working as a welder, fell into the sea as a result of the collapse of concrete pillars.

As a result of the search and rescue operations, the bodies of both persons were recovered from the sea.

Samir Mirzoyev, who is one of the officials of the department and responsible for safety at construction, was brought to justice. He was charged under Article 222.4 of the Criminal Code.
