Tax benefits also to be provided for such persons

November 2, Fineko/abc.az. Tax benefits will be provided to medical institutions and individuals engaged in private medical practice.

ABC.AZ reports that this was reflected in the Azerbaijan State Budget Package for 2024, submitted for discussion at today's meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship.

According to the draft, VAT benefits will be applied to these persons. In other words, 50% of the turnover of medical institutions and individuals engaged in private medical practice, formed on the basis of non-cash payments through a POS-terminal for medical services rendered to the population for the reported term, is supposed to be deducted from its total taxable turnover for 3 years from January 1, 2024. Non-cash payments must be made through a POS-terminal integrated into a single operating system with a cash register.

One of the main factors contributing to the existence of the shadow economy in the field of healthcare is the receipt of payment for medical services in cash.
