November 17, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan imported 949,278 tons of wheat for $247.343 million for Jan-Oct 2023, ABC.AZ informs, referring to State Customs Committee’s monthly report.

 The report stresses that compared with Jan-Oct 2022, wheat imports decreased by 25% in value terms and by 0.7% in quantitative terms.

Thus, Azerbaijan imported 956,274 tons of wheat for $330.1 million for Jan-Oct 2022.

The average cost of imported 1 ton of wheat fell from $345 to $261. Thus, this year wheat was imported in Azerbaijan for about $84 cheaper per ton.
