Halal drugs to have supporting certificate

November 20, Fineko/abc.az. Halal medicines are pharmaceutical products made from ingredients allowed in accordance with the norms of Islam.

ABC.AZ reports that Sekhran Rzayeva, the head of the Department of Standardization of Light Industry of the Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (under the State Service for Antimonopoly Regulation and Control of the Consumer Market), said about this.

She added that human or animal blood, animal products considered forbidden in Islam, and other ingredients prohibited by religion cannot be used in production of these drugs: "The standard applies to both domestic and imported halal medicines.

"Rzayeva clarified that halal medicines manufactured on the state standard will have certificate confirming compliance with this standard.
