November 22, Fineko/abc.az. American billionaire and investor Warren Buffett has transferred shares of his investment company Berkshire Hathaway in the amount of $866 million to four charitable organizations that are managed by members of his family.

ABC.AZ reports that the businessman has been donating large sums to charity annually in the form of Berkshire shares since 2006. Earlier, he promised to give away 99% of the fortune.

Buffett, who turned 93, appointed sons Howard and Peter, as well as daughter Susan, as his executors, as well as trustees of the charitable foundation, which will receive all the money after his death.

Berkshire Class A shares on Tuesday ended trading at $543,150 per paper, the price of Class B securities was $361.4 per share.
